Wow. Hello.
I feel back from the wedding-dead. I think I forgot about wedding planning for two months and then realized (thanks, Rachel and Katie) that I should be doing something.
So. Big things. I was stuck in traffic yesterday for 45 minutes (eeh, three car pileup on I-5!) so I had some time to make a few calls and finalize a few venues.
I’m getting excited.
We officially have a French, five-course dinner for you. We officially have a place to stand and profess our love for each other. (Not to mention there’s a pond, and a view, and vines, and a gazebo, and stellar wines.) We are so close to having an event scheduled for the day before.
So. Readers. I have a question for you. I’m planning a dessert and champagne social for the night before the wedding. We want to get everyone together, but we want it to be really low key and informal. I was thinking about asking everyone to bring their favourite board game with them. The room we’re in reminds me of Harry Potter, so for some reason I’ve got it stuck in my head that this would be a great idea. What do you think? I can see our families having an awesome time with Apples to Apples.
Just things to keep myself busy and to chip away at the never ending list of wedding tasks. Jon’s been away for about a month and gone for nearly a month more. I miss him terribly. Somehow the distance seems different this time.
