sigh.

Have you ever gotten off the phone with someone and thought “hm. that person really doesn’t like me.”

Awesome.

centerpieces

so… my centerpiece idea doesn’t make sense.  I still really like the concept of the random pink pots and… greens of some sort, but it just doesn’t make sense.

to recap, for those of you who aren’t paying as close of attention as I am:  I was going to have a collection of different pots on the table, filled with herbs as the centerpieces.  and then encourage everyone to take an herb-pot home.

But… you’re all flying home.  And you won’t want to fly home with a bucket of dirt.

So.  back to the drawrin boards.  any ideas?

just hello.

I thought I’d drop in and say hello, since it seems that posting on the blog (and planning the wedding) have fallen by the wayside for a few minutes.

Last night my mom asked me what the bridesmaids dresses looked like and all I could tell her was that they were brown.  Turns out, I’m a little out of touch with my own wedding.

I have some things I need to work on, I suppose.  We’re at the “details” stage, i think.  You know… can i put herbs in the boquets to tie it in with the centerpiece and will the wine makers do a “tasting class” for us, since I know it’ll be the first time for many of you at a vineyard.   details details.  I haven’t even sent invitations out yet.  you all are coming, right?

our big hawaiian adventure

I just thought I’d give anyone who’s listening a brief update on the big hawaiian adventure.

  1. If you part your hair, for god’s sake, but sunscreen in the part. it’s important.
  2. shark diving = super cool. they were surprisingly not interested in us (read: not trying to eat us) just really gracefully swimming around. pretty damn beautiful
  3. parasailing = maybe the coolest thing I’ve ever done. It was *so* beautiful. We were out in this bay, 600 feet behind the boat, surrounded by green hills and “sea mist” (more later) and water in more shades of blue than I can count. And then they dropped us. I’d like to think it was on purpose, but we hit the water really hard.
  4. We had sushi so fresh there was a boat in the driveway. Jon’s so great. He’s standing in the airport, and then again in a wine store, and hears people talking about this “amazing little sushi place that’s impossible to find”. which you know, sounds like something i’d like. so he makes reservations and it was SO good. best sushi ever. okay, maybe not. but if not, i challenge you to tell me which time was better.
  5. tonight is alan wongs. This place has its own menu for coffee beans. like… dinner menu, dessert menu, wine menu, … coffee menu? I’m stoked.

oh, there’s so much, but i have to get back to work. See you all later!

i heart my moh.

Public announcement: Rachel’s pretty cool.

Congrats for getting into one of the best environmental law schools in the country. The earth needs a lawyer too, yo. Anyways, I’m really proud of you and totally support your hippie-licious-life-decisions.
