i heart j.
We had a really, really good first night together in Hawaii. Completely redeeming of the less-than-stellar day I had acquired on my own.
We bought… ready for it… The Rings. wow. I’m excited. Like, more excited than i expected to be. Maybe it makes it more real? Maybe it was just really reassuring to find a ring that matches my engagement ring? (my wedding ring is stainless steel also, and j’s is tungsten. Tungsten, btw, is a pretty sweet metal.)
I think j was a little disheartened that I hated the city so much after my first afternoon alone with it, so we walked around downtown and he showed me where the restaurants, art galleries and asian markets were and then we looked at pearls for a while (more on that later). There was a wine tasting down the block at this little wine shop and we ended up getting a bottle of a really incredible cab for me to take back home.
Then, after finding the rings, we had spectacular Mai Tais and a flatbread that was better than it had any right to be, did a little window shopping in waikiki, and then went out for mojitos and cuban food. Awesome night. Thanks jon. you’re awesome.
