Watch out, San Diego

Reader beware: the wedding blog may turn into the San Diego blog. But you’re interested anyways, right? Jon and I just purchased a fancy new camera, so keep an eye out for lots of fun new photos!

We’re leaving on Wednesday night, already. Which is just crazy to me. These things sneak up so fast, eh? Here’s the plan so far:

  • Wednesday night: Seattle to Portland
  • Thursday: Cake tasting in Portland, check out the vineyard again, lunch at the restaurant, then some beer at one of the millions of brewpubs that are in the Pacific NW, then down to Crescent City for the night.
  • Friday: The cool really-big-tree-park. I’m actually really stoked about this. After the trees we’ll head to another brewpub for some lunch, and then head over to Sonoma County. eep!
  • Saturday: Morning tasting some wines, maybe a wine / food pairing lunch at Seghesio, and dinner in San Fransisco. Wow, I’m stoked about Saturday.
  • Sunday: Spend the morning / afternoon in San Fransico, which I’m sure will go by all too quickly, and then off to a little costal town for the night.
  • Monday: Drive, drive, drive. I’m slightly worried about driving through LA. I mean, if we thought driving through Chicago was bad…

We’re staying at the coolest-looking place ever. Evar. Really. I’m stoked. Thanks Government!

What to Wear

I’m cutting my dress.  Up.  My wedding dress.  Okay.  I’m having my wedding dress cut up.  Of course I wouldn’t actually attempt such a feat.  It would end up looking like that lopsided pillow I sewed jon when I was 17.

Anyways.  I stepped back away from the wedding for a bit, and realized that I was slowly planning the same wedding everyone else plans.  Which is fine, except that some of the things didn’t really … fit.  Jon barred me from The Knot when I told him I thought a sandy beach in the carribean would make a just fine honeymoon.

So long story short,  I’d like a spunkier dress. This is kind of what I was thinking:

I love this dress.

Any thoughts?
