Jon and I were sitting down at Rogue last night, drinking a beer, and talking about how long the day had been.  Really… it was two full days worth of stuff.  We were a bit tuckered out.

It started wine tasting in Sonoma County.   I think we went to 7 wineries, had a lovely picnic and bought some incredible wines.  Seghesio was definitely a high point.  Geyser Peak was surprisingly fantastic.

After a morning of wine tasting, (and by no means were these two lines enough to  really tell you about them) we drove down to San Francisco where we checked into our little hotel and walked around quite a bit.

More on everything later.  I need to take a shower and stop blogging.

Silly me. I forgot we drove through a tree.

Or rather two trees. For comparison’s sake, obviously. This was the much, much better one.

Oh, but Elk Cove

I almost forgot! On the way out of Portland, we stopped at Elk Cove-I wanted to see what the place looked like when it wasn’t in the dead of winter.

Turns out… it’s rather lovely.

“Rather lovely”? Did I really just say that?

Anyhow, we ordered all of our wine for the dinner, bought a case of really, really fantastic pinot to drink on anniversaries over the next 12 years, and finalized some of the details of the timeline and whatnot. So here are a few pictures below. The gazebo is where we’ll actually get married in and the path with stairs will be our “aisle”.

I’m… pretty sure the Gazebo isn’t crooked.

Gravy

Going backwards, just a bit.  teamEggers, meet Gravy.  Gravy, meet teamEggers.

Gravy may be the tastiest, most adorable breakfast place in all of breakfast land.

More gravy photos here.

Breweries

And of course, we went to a few breweries along the way.

In total, so far, we’ve gone to a McMenamins (White Eagle), Lost Coast, North Coast, and two Rogues. Boy, is the Rogue in San Francisco a dump. Beer on the floor-plastic cups style. Crazy.

All of our Brewery pictures along the way are here.
