I didn’t really tell you about Sonoma County. I’m going to break it up into a few sip-sized-parts for you.

I can easily get carried away with how cool the land is out there. The scenery is just unbeatable and has such a distinct look from the Willamette or Yakima.

Our first stop was Geyser Peak. Geyser Peak distributes a 10$ range Sauvingnon Blanc, so I don’t think either of us expected much. Oh, and they had a 2-for-1 coupon. I’m not sure how much I can stress the point that I didn’t have high expectations going in.

Boy, was I wrong.

Their wines were awesome. We ended up buying two bottles — one zin from 50-year vines and a port that was really nice. j’s a sucker for ports. I think it’s because it looks sophisticated to order them at the end of a meal. haha. They do make chocolate more bearable.

Jessi, you totally missed out. You know, being in a different state, and sitting hungrily in your office and whatnot. You should live vicariously through me. Here we go:

This was lunch! We ordered two combo plates, which in most restaurants have things like… tekka maki, or cali rolls. This was awesome! So much food I couldn’t finish it, for 20$.

A couple of nights ago, I harassed our server at Zanzibar and she gave us a list of restaurants to check out. This was one of them and it was so great!
