Last Night Out
We have great friends. I think that Jon and I are just coming to realize that. You know, you go through a phase in college, or high school, or whatever it may be where you have a solid group. You’ve lived in the area, seeing the same people day in and day out, and you realize (sometimes too late) that those are your people.
Friday night we went out to dinner and then to the garage with the design team. Some of jon’s friends drove in to see us, and Andreas (new friend who is subletting our apt. while we’re gone) stopped by also. It was really nice.
Tonight, amid a flury of “have a great trip” text messages, jessi and elvis stopped by. It was awesome to see them and even more awesome that they thought to call us before we took off. Good people and I’m glad they’re in our lives. This morning we had brunch at the ethiopian place with joey and alex. Also great people that I’m better for knowing.
So I guess the point of the story is that Seattle is slowly but surely becoming home and we’re going to miss all of you.
