Mini-Golf
On the ferris wheel, we saw a mini-golf course on the top of a building and decided that we should check it out at some point.
Mini golf, or put-put (depending on where you’re from), is an entirely different sport here. I don’t use the term “sport” lightly. This is serious business. Half the people at this course carried their own satchels of balls. I wonder what each one was for….
Set up on the 7th floor of a building, we had a great view of the city.
Notice the lack of children? This course was owned by old men. They were everywhere – shooting holes-in-ones, staying as long as they liked, and offering helpful advice (with a series of hand gestures and approving claps).
All in all, we had a really good time. We noticed that there was a cafe overlooking the golf course, so we stopped in after our 18 holes and watched the old-men some more. They were so entertaining, friendly & helpful. I think they made the experience awesome. It was good.
